Happy Monday everyone! I had one of the best weekends doing not a whole lot of anything. On Saturday, Ryan and I headed downtown for our usual breakfast at Joule, but not before a quick morning walk through the park. It was finally warm (and not raining), so we took full advantage. I love how green and beautiful everything is this time of year – I could practically hear the park benches calling my name that morning, inviting me to come sit and soak in all of the beauty.
The rest of the weekend was either spent relaxing or with family. I convinced my parents to help me with a DIY project (stay tuned in the next couple of weeks for it), and it was so nice to all be together outside working on a craft. We wrapped up the day with dinner at one of my favorite local BBQ restaurants.
I wore this look out and about Saturday morning. I scooped up this top for a steal at Anthropologie – they have since sold out online but I linked a similar top below. I love the proportion play of long sleeves on top and shorts on the bottom, but sometimes wearing long sleeves on top can look a little too heavy for the warmer months. The semi-sheerness of this top helps keep the look feeling light and airy, while still maintaining the proportion play that I love.
