The Cupcake Shoppe

Summertime always makes me feel part of a different era. When the sun is shining through the clouds and the birds are chirping, I’m suddenly transported to the 50’s – where hemlines were longer, necklines were higher, and ladies dressing had an all-over sweetness about it. Every look I see from that time it’s so subtly flirtatious and adorable – I can’t help but emulate those qualities into my look this time of year.

How darling is this sundress from Anthropologie? Though it’s a little preppier than I would normally go for, I can’t get enough of it! The popsicle print detailing is just about the cutest thing I’ve ever seen, and perfect for my retro-summer vibes! I’m loving this shirtdress paired with my favorite white sunnies and a simple pair of nude block heels – these are the comfiest shoes!

Ryan and I met downtown yesterday after work at The Cupcake Shoppe to sit outside and indulge in delicious treats. Though it’s not quite summer yet, it was a sweet taste (no pun intended) of what’s to come!
