Ever since adding my Italian-kitchen inspired peel and stick tile to my kitchen, I’ve been dreaming of hosting a ‘Summer in Italy’ themed dinner party. If I’m cooking, nine times out of ten it’s going to be Italian. I love whipping up fresh pasta and pairing it with seasonal produce and fresh antipasti. For this dinner party, I opted for lobster ravioli with pecorino romano and a fresh peach and mozzarella salad.
As with any dinner party, themed or not, I love curating a beautiful tablescape to match the mood of the event, incorporating little details, such as fresh lemons as the centerpiece, bold striped napkins used as placemats, delicately textured plates, and minmal glassware. It’s the tiny touches that bring a table setting all together – the sweet wicker detail on the serveware perfectly brings an element of summer to the table.
I hope this inspires a dinner party of your own to transport your guests to the sun-kissed landscapes of Italy. Buon appetito!
