Though the fit and flare silhouette has been back on the fashion scene for quite a while now, I still find it to be one of my tried and true favorites. The cinch at the waist, followed by the exaggerated flare of a full skirt is perfect for boyish shapes like mine. It gives me a waist where there isn’t one, and helps me feel romantic and flirty all day long.

This season, I’m loving a fit in flare in a colorful floral print. I love that this one is pastel with just a pop of neon to make it playful for summertime. Whether it’s paired with a lace-up sandal or a simple heel, this style seems to be the easiest to throw on for anything from a wedding to a day around town. 

We shot these photos at a historic home in downtown Raleigh, and needless to say, being on that porch with its endless charm and all of the darling details made me feel nothing short of a southern belle in this adorable little floral number.
