Happy Monday everyone! I had the most wonderful weekend away at the cabin in Blowing Rock, North Carolina. Even though I thought I was ready for it to be spring, once the first snow flurry fell, I was instantly transformed into a five-year-old, and was so excited it was still wintertime.
We headed to one of my favorite places in Blowing Rock – Bass Lake (you can see other photos from that spot here), and what we saw was absolutely breathtaking. The ground was just dusted with snow, the lake was frozen over, and with every gust of wind that blew, snow gracefully danced across the surface of the frozen lake.
I was totally frozen (I didn’t even have gloves with me), but I didn’t care. It was such a magical sight. This, too, was one of those moments that will go in my bank of memories where everything seemed right in the world, and I was too happy and in too beautiful of a place to let anything negative touch me.
