Ryan and I took a day trip yesterday to one of my favorite places – Wrightsville Beach. It’s where I spent three years for college, so it almost feels like a second home to me. I haven’t been back nearly enough since I left, so when I saw it was going to be in the seventies and sunny this past weekend, we made the trip down.
I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect beach day. The weather was just right – sunny, breezy, and warm. We spent most of the day just walking on the beach or sitting and people watching, but it was just what I needed. We had a late lunch at one of my favorite baja mexican restaurants downtown, and then spent the rest of the evening sitting by the sand dunes, watching the sun set. It was a quick whirlwind of a trip, but sometimes getting out of town, just for the afternoon, is all it takes to feel refreshed.
