Parisian Daydreaming with Louis Jadot

It’s true what they say, Paris really is one of the mot romantic and magical places in the world. It’s crazy to think Ryan and I are coming up on our two year anniversary of our trip and our engagement in Paris. There are so many mornings we start our days by waking up and one of us saying how much we miss Paris. We try to incorporate as many little elements of our trip and our time in the city into our everyday lives here, in hopes that the magic we felt while abroad never fades.

One of our favorite things to do in Paris was to wander the streets of Marais, pick up a bottle of wine, and then stroll down to the Seine just in time for sunset. We would cozy ourselves up on a blanket, and people watch until the sun went down. From there, we strolled through the city, arriving at the Eiffel Tower just in time for it to start to twinkle. It was an evening ritual I don’t think I could ever grow tired of.

In celebration of Bastille Day in France, we decided there was no better time to recreate our favorite memory in our hometown. We packed a picnic, a couple bottles of our favorite Louis Jadot wine, and headed to the most scenic place we could think of. A glass of Puilly-Fuiseé later, we were heavy in reminiscing mode, and feeling the magic of the city coming over us once again.

I’ve never been particular about my wine until I was introduced to Louis Jadot earlier this year. Though I don’t consider myself a wine connoisseur by any means, I do love the memories of Paris that come rushing back whenever Ryan and I pour a glass – whether it be as we whip up a favorite meal in our kitchen, or out in the middle of a sunflower field with a French-inspired picnic. Every variety of their I have tried has been perfection, and it’s safe to say that Louis Jadot has become our new go-to wine.
