Navy + Grey

Over this past weekend, the weather in North Carolina took a sudden and very cold turn. Overnight it felt like winter outside! For me, that was a good enough reason to pull out my chunkiest turtleneck, turn up the heat, and get cozy. It’s definitely my favorite time of year – not only because of the holidays on the horizon, but also because I love to bundle up and layer! This grey sweater (from last year, but similar linked) was one of those pieces I couldn’t wait to pull back out (last seen here).

To keep the look from feeling too full-on-eskimo (it is only October after all), I paired it with this delicate lace skirt and some suede over the knee boots for added warmth. I’ve always been a big fan of the grey and navy combination. And can we talk about these boots for a second? I’m obsessed! I’ve been wanting a pair of OTK boots for a few seasons now, and just couldn’t find the right pair. I’ve had my eye on these Stuart Weitzman ones, but at a fraction of the cost, these Steve Madden ones had me sold the instant I saw them.
