What a change of direction this room has had! If you remember, this was my original vision for my Charleston bedroom. I wanted something really neutral with light colored linens and pops of buttercream yellow. I still love the vibe – but needed something to make this room feel totally lived-in and mine. I also really wanted to make use of my stunning upholstered headboard from my cabin bedroom. Once I stumbled upon this peel and stick wallpaper, an entirely new vision was born.
I’ve always loved a secret-garden vibe for a bedroom, and this wallpaper felt like a cross between something you’d see in a New England cottage and a greenhouse. The blues and greens inspired the space — I love how beautifully it pairs with my light colored linens and seagrass accessories. The room now feels like a really relaxing blend of all the design elements I love – florals, natural fibers and pops of elegance.
