Welcome to my new cozy cabin living room! With new beginnings comes new decor, and I had a very specific vision in mind for the vibe of this room. I wanted to invest in pieces that are inviting yet elegant, and that are timeless and easily styled multiple different ways.
My first thought when redesigning my living space was that I wanted to create a cozy reading corner. I’m making an effort to spend more time away from screens, and having an inviting place to cuddle up with a book and my pup was the first step towards making that happen. I fell in love with the Maxwell Chaise Lounge from Interior Define — the detail of the walnut legs completely had me swooning!
I love its traditional shape and lower profile. It is perfectly plush — when I first sat down on it I couldn’t believe how much I sank into it, in the best way! It’s hands-down the most comfortable piece of furniture I own. I opted to customize it in the Spa Performance Velvet, a stunning and subtle soft blue. It provides just enough color to my space without being overpowering.

The other stunning addition to my living room are a pair of Interior Define’s Gwen Accent Chair in Celadon Velvet Fabric with walnut legs. I fell in love with its sculptural and sophisticated feel — they are both comfortable and visually interesting in a space. They match the lower profile of my other furniture in the room, and don’t feel too bulky or overpowering. They also may not look it at first glance, but they are so incredibly comfortable! The backbar hits just at the right spot and they are perfectly cushioned.
