Ever since finding out about Walmart+, a different kind of membership from Walmart, I have been so excited to try it out and share all of the details with you! I never thought I’d find a way to create more time in our busy schedule, but with this membership, it feels like I’ve found the secret. Walmart just launched Walmart+ on September 15th and it’s been a game-changer for us so far – let me tell you!
It would seem like, since Ryan and I have been home together all year, that we would have more time together, but we’ve in fact felt like we’ve had less. We’ve either been busy with work, or running out for our weekly groceries or errands, and can end up like ships passing in the night. This past weekend, we spontaneously decided that we were in desperate need of a date night, and Walmart+ came to our rescue.
Before I go any further, let’s talk benefits of Walmart+ I keep bragging about! The membership costs $98/year, or $12.95/month, and you can sign up and try it for free for 15 days. Depending on your location (you can check your specific benefits here), it includes:
- Free unlimited delivery as soon as same-day and within a one-hour delivery window (orders must be at least $35 and restrictions apply). This means saving time getting your groceries, paper products, and personal products by having them delivered to your front door!
- Member prices on fuel which means saving five cents per gallon at Walmart & Murphy stations. It may not sound like much, but those five cents can add up quick!
- Access to mobile scan & go which allows you to check out with your phone as you shop in store making your experience quick and contact-free.
For me, the life-changing part of the membership has been the free unlimited delivery ($35 minimum, restrictions apply). Instead of spending our weekend going to the grocery store, and then to another store to pick up our household necessities, I am able to quickly place the order using the Walmart+ membership, and have our groceries delivered hours later. I love that it frees up our weekends so we can spend quality time with each other instead of spending time on errands.
For our fall-themed date night this past weekend, we used Walmart+ to order everything we needed for our favorite chili recipe and pumpkin carving! I was able to order our beans, bowls, and pumpkin carving kit from the same place, and have the delivery scheduled and ready for date night. It took about five minutes and freed up SO much time for us to spend together. Even though this year has been a bit of a rollercoaster, having the time to cook and enjoy a cozy evening in together helps keep me feeling happy and positive.
