As my design taste has matured, I’ve noticed myself gravitating towards more earthy and natural elements.
My most recent obsession? Ceramics. While I’ve always appreciated a few ceramic vases here and there, it’s now turned into a much deeper love. I admire the uniqueness and story behind each work of art. I blame this tour I saw of Julia Hunter’s home – her ceramic cabinet is GOALS. I think I’ve just about talked Ryan into building a similar version for my rapidly growing collection that will look like this.
Until I have sufficient storage space for them, I’ve been doing some serious window shopping lately. I already have my eye on a few pieces by different ceramicists and I can’t wait to grow a special collection over the years.
Rounding up a few recent favorites I’ve come across below…
The mug above is from Hallyburton Pottery – we have a couple pieces made by him and they are so beautiful.
I, of course, love all of the designs by Gjusta – they are so classic and a great place to begin a collection.
I recently discovered Yasha Butler, who hasn’t launched her collection yet, but I will 100% be purchasing something when she does!
Another ceramicist I’m loving is Mie Kim. All of the pieces are so unique and I love the rawness of the edges.
I also love the planters that Norden has – I’m thinking about repotting the dining room plant into one!
