While it’s a nice thought that I have the time and energy to get dressed up and a sweet dress and a pair of heels every day, the reality is I spend a lot of time in my more casual pieces. Something denim and something striped is usually my fool-proof formula for my “off-duty” days. When my schedule calls for getting things done, it’s best I choose pieces for their functionality rather than their fashion.
Switching up my attire also means a shift in selecting my accessories. Instead of opting for a clutch or sleek black crossbody, I’ll switch up my style with a bold colored minimal bag, such as this one by Skagen. Big enough to hold all of my necessities, but small enough not to make a fuss. The pop of color adds a little something extra to an otherwise basic outfit. The other key ingredient to dressing for a successful day off? A chic yet understated timepiece to keep my schedule in line. This minimal mesh-strap style is the perfect choice for when I don’t have time to pick out extra accessories.
